Pit Bull Mix
Sex: spayed female
Age: 12 Years
Size: 60 lbs
A report from one of our volunteers who has worked with Summer at the shelter: Summer is a really sweet girl, although she's big and strong. She seems like she has a nice nature; very curious (got my lip gloss out of my bag and managed to open it, maybe she likes the watermelon flavor).
She aknows SIT, and she's doing pretty well with DOWN,
especially when the word is accompanied by a hand signal. She's learning SHAKE, also. She seems to be a really fast learner.
She's can be slightly mouthy when excited, but very mildly so compared to some of the other pitties I've worked with. She did well on our walk (no frantic tugging on the leash or jumping around). She seems interested in other dogs, but my impression was that it was mostly friendly interest.
